Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Gloss Ride app and services. By creating an account or using Gloss Ride, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance

Gloss Ride is operated by [Gloss Ride Pte. Ltd.] (“Gloss Ride”, “we”, “us”). By registering for or using the service, you (“Driver”, “you”) agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Gloss Ride.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, hold any licence required to provide private-hire or taxi services, and be able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Gloss Ride complies with all laws and any platform or regulatory requirements that apply to you.

3. The service

Gloss Ride is a payment-acceptance tool that lets you collect card payments from your customers and receive payouts. Gloss Ride is not a transport provider, employer, or party to the trips you carry out. We do not set or guarantee fares, and we are not responsible for the underlying transport service between you and your customer.

4. Your account & KYC

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. To use payments you must complete identity verification (KYC) through our payments partner, Stripe, and satisfy any checks required by law or by Stripe.

5. Payments, fees & payouts

• Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe and, for contactless card acceptance, via Apple's Tap to Pay on iPhone. Your use of payments is also subject to Stripe's and Apple's terms.
• Gloss Ride fee. A service fee of 10% is added to the fare and paid by the rider. Your original fare remains payable to you. Fees are shown in the app before you collect payment and may change on notice.
• Payouts. Collected funds appear in your in-app wallet and are paid out to your linked bank account subject to Stripe's clearance times and any holds required for risk or compliance.
• Refunds & chargebacks. You are responsible for refunds, disputes and chargebacks arising from your transactions, and we may recover related amounts from your balance.
• Plan limits. Your account plan (e.g. Bronze) may set daily/weekly ride limits and minimum/maximum fares. These are shown in the app and set by Gloss Ride.

6. Tap to Pay on iPhone

Tap to Pay on iPhone is provided by Apple and requires a compatible iPhone and the latest iOS. Your use of Tap to Pay is subject to Apple's applicable terms and conditions, which you must accept in-app. You agree to use it only to accept genuine payments for your own services and not for any prohibited use.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Gloss Ride to process fraudulent, unauthorised or unlawful transactions, to launder money, to accept payment on behalf of another business, or in any way that breaches card-network rules or our partners' policies. We may investigate and report suspected misuse.

8. Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining, collecting and paying any taxes that apply to your earnings. Gloss Ride does not provide tax advice.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gloss Ride is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits or earnings. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by our partners or the law, or to prevent risk or fraud. You may stop using Gloss Ride and delete your account at any time via our Account & Data Deletion process.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app or on this page. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
